A street hawker is a person who sells various things by moving from street to street. He is a self-employed person. He is the most familiar figure in the cities and towns. In a village, he is also seen. He wears a peculiar () dress of different colours and makes peculiar sound to draw the attention of his customers. His work is tiresome (f). He carries his materials on head, sometimes in hand,
sometimes in a bag and sometimes in a small handcart. He generally buys his goods at a cheaper rate and sells them at a good profit. His goods are mainly attractive to the women and children. He usually sells toys, cosmetics, ready-made garments, utensils, sweets, ribbons,
fruits etc. Generally in the absence of the housemaster (), he comes to sell his goods. He adopts different techniques to convince his customers. He claims (at) that his products are the best in quality. As children are his good customers, he maintains a good  comunication with them. However, although a street hawker works hard, he does not earn much. He has a very small capital and earns
little. So he maintains his family with a great hardship. We should respect him because he earns his living by the sweat of his brow.

যে ব্যক্তি রাস্তায় রাস্তায় ঘুরে বিভিন্ন জিনিসপত্র বিক্রি করে সে-ই রাস্তার ফেরিওয়ালা। সে
একজন স্ব-নিয়োজিত ব্যক্তি। সে শহর ও নগরে অতীব পরিচিত ব্যক্তি। গ্রামেও তাকে দেখা
যায়। সে তার গ্রাহকদের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণের জন্য বিভিন্ন রঙের অদ্ভুত পোশাক পরিধান করে ও
অদ্ভুত শব্দ করে। তার কাজ পরিশ্রমসাধ্য। সে তার মালপত্র মাথায়, মাঝে মাঝে হাতে, মাঝে
মাঝে ব্যাগে এবং মাঝে মাঝে হস্তচালিত ছোট গাড়িতে বহন করে। সে সাধারণত তার মালামাল
সস্তা দামে ক্রয় করে এবং ভালো লাভে বিক্রি করে। তার পণ্যগুলো মূলত মহিলা ও শিশুদের
নিকট আকর্ষণীয়। সে সচরাচর খেলনা, প্রসাধনী, তৈরি পোশাক, বাসন-পত্র, মিষ্টি, ফিতা, ফল
ইত্যাদি বিক্রি করে। সাধারণত গৃহকর্তার অনুপস্থিতিতে সে তার মালামাল বিক্রি করতে আসে। সে তার ক্রেতাদের বোঝাতে বিভিন্ন কৌশল অবলম্বন করে। সে দাবি করে যে তার পণ্য গুণাগুণে সবচেয়ে ভালো। যেহেতু বাচ্চারা তার ভালো ক্রেতা, সে তাদের সাথে ভালো যোগাযোগ রক্ষা করে। যাহোক, একজন ফেরিওয়ালা কঠোর পরিশ্রম করলেও সে বেশি উপার্জন করতে পারে না। তার খুব কম পুঁজি থাকে এবং কম উপার্জন করে। তাই তাকে তার পরিবার চালাতে দুর্ভোগ পোহাতে হয়। আমাদের উচিত তাকে সম্মান করা কারণ সে তার মাথার ঘাম পায়ে ফেলে তার
